Construction of the Shopping Center was completed in 1987 by the Fergusons. Originally named Turtle Creek for the creek bed that was running on the land, it was later changed to Arvest Plaza when Arvest Bank became the anchor Tenant. The Plaza is conveniently located 1.5 miles north of Interstate 40. It has 300 feet of frontage on Cornwell Drive which carries approximately 20,000 cars daily. Cornwell Dr runs south to Mustang (street becomes Czech Hall Road) and north to Piedmont (Highway is named Piedmont Road).
